Eames chair knock off also known as gilding rockers or simply gliding, are chairs with a mechanical base that allow the user to move back. Forth without moving the chair runner. Instructions

Turn the Eames chair knock off on its side so that it rests on one of the arms. Dip a cotton ball in baby oil. Grab one of the runners and pull it so that the moving parts of the rope boat are fully extended. You can also have an assistant do this while lubricating the joints in the chair.

Wash the Eames chair knock off areas where some moving parts meet with baby oil. If the stick wipes up, dip it in the oil again. Apply baby oil freely on some parts held together with a nut and bolt. Slide the runner on the backrest in place, and then pull it forward again to work baby oil in the joints of the rope. Wipe out excess oil that does not work in the joints. Turn the backrest upright. Turn to one side and collect the fabric where the foam is attached to the wood on the underside of the arm. Wrap vertically and fasten the fabric to the chair. Tighten the fabric tight and tighten to the bottom edge beginning in the middle. Repeat on the other side.
